The Original Death Knight
I really thought I was hot stuff. I mean the healer was barely dipping below 90% mana, and I was constantly near full health. There were absolutely zero aggro issues, and any day that I don’t get mobs peeling out of the poo I’ve laid down to chase down a ranged dps or healer I call a good day. We were in the Culling of Stratholme, and we were rocking the place.
So, I’m feeling pretty much like Big Man Tank.
Then, reality smacks me. Hard.
After totally clobbering the gauntlet and rounding the corner to pound Mal’Ganis, I charge on up the street to slay the Infinite Corrupter and mourn yet another Reins of the Bronze Drake left to rot.
The party doesn’t follow me. I get a whisper from the healing druid: “dude, where are you going?!?”
Huh? Whatsamattah? Oh…
There is no Infinite Corrupter. This is regular level, not heroic. I’m a noob.
Hello Shame and farewell Hubris!
We still kicked Mal’Ganis‘ demonic hind and I did get the 20g and 2 Emblem of Triumph reward for the first random daily on regular mode, but I also got reminded to check the difficulty level at the start of a run and to not get ahead of myself in self-congratulations.
